Praying Lent with the Saints. The Lent Discussion Group at 11.30am after Mass, in the café, will be looking at different approaches to prayer. On  Sunday 2 April we will look at the Rosary

The last Lent Lunch is on 2 April at the Rectory in aid of our 2017 Lent charity, Let the Children Live, helping the street children of Colombia.  Please sign in for each Lent Lunch by Sunday.

 

Please take a collection box and put aside some money for the charity.

 

Stations of the Cross:  Fridays in Lent at 5.30pm, followed by a short Mass

 

 

Lent is an excellent time to consider making your confession, which can be booked with Fr Adrian or the other priests.

 

Money for Easter lilies in memory of departed loved ones, can be given to Sonia. Please sign sheet at the back of the church.

 

Guitar Recital by Estevao Devides, Sunday 23 April at 3.30pm, a wide-ranging programme including, Villa-Lobos, Beethoven, Led Zepellin and the Beatles.

 

Church Cleaning Day: Saturday 8 April, After Mass and Morning Prayer at 9.30am.

Much assistance is needed for our big spring clean to get the church ready for Holy Week & Easter.

St Benedict’s Prayer Book for Beginners, Ampleforth Abbey Press

 

A Week of Simple Offices,Community of the Resurrection, Mirfield

 

A Shorter Morning and Evening Prayer (abridged version of the Divine Office, and similar

to that used in church ) published by Harper Collins.

 

All of these books are available on the internet.Please see Fr Adrian for advice on regular daily prayer.
