Born Angela Wendreda Cribb
(Wendreda after St. Wendreda’s Church in March,
Cambridgeshire, my maternal grandfather’s home church: the
angels are wonderfull!) and grew up in rural Norfolk, close
by Norwich and attended the village school and Church of
England school up to 11 years old.
Educated at Wyndham College – a
boarding co-educational state grammar school, until 18 years
of age. Angela trained and qualified as an Orthoptist at
Chester Royal Infirmary – now unfortunately closed. A lovely
place to live.
Angela
returned to Norfolk and was
employed at King’s Lynn Hospital, and North Cambridgeshire
Hospital, Wisbech, engaged in a community screening project
for 17 years.
A variety of pursuits since
include working in Tourist Information and living on a
narrow boat for 4 years in the Midlands. Angela is
currently a part time retail worker.
Interests
An abiding interest in history,
politics and world matters. Long-time supporter of OXFAM,
International Red Cross. Also support Greenpeace, Friends
of the Earth and the National Trust. Angela enjoys walking,
bird watching and the company of friends. She is an avid
reader of biography, history, poetry and much else – a must
is the Guardian. Music in many styles is a companion.
Thoughts on All
Saints' Church
All Saints’ (and its’ Rector),
provide a focus for an exploring and reflective faith –
which personally delights and frustrates. Community worship
and excellent teaching give a fulfilling and stimulating
basis for the worship and expression of faith. All Saints’
allows all to choose their level of entry and progression. |
