ALL SAINTS'
PARISH ARCHIVES
At All
Saints' we have quite a considerable amount of archive
material, documents, papers, registers and photographs.
Much of the material is deposited in the Norfolk Records
Office archive at Norwich, however, we do have a deposit in
King's Lynn. We are always pleased to receive any
contributions towards the history of both the church and the
parish. If you have photographs or documents that we may
borrow and copy, we would be pleased to hear from you -
please contact the Rector, and we will arrange the safe
collection and the return of your material.
Registers - The Parish Church
of All Saints', South Lynn
Records of All
Saints, South Lynn, deposited with the Norfolk Records
Office by the Parochial Church Council on 16th February 1989
and the 18th May 1989.
The amount of papers and documents which were delivered was
vast because, as I understand it, Fr. Walter George Bridge,
the incumbent and Rector from 1951 to 1988, had kept all the
registers and documents in the Rectory - none had been
surrendered for inclusion and safe keeping in the
County Archives. Consequently, some of the records became
so affected by the humidity and the damp, and are so
fragile, that we are no longer able to view them.
