I have just been glancing at that ridiculously stupid programme, I'm a celebrity, get me out of here!  I can't decide who are more stupid - the two who host it, Ant and Dec, the people who produce it, the contestants who take part in it, or the people who. . . [more]

Worship at All Saints

The style of worship at All Saints' is very much within the catholic tradition of the Church of England.  This is reflected in the use of the ornaments in the church - six candles on the High Altar, the Reservation of the Blessed Sacrament in a Tabernacle, the wearing of vestments and the use of incense.

However, our faith 'catholic' is not merely defined by what we use or how we use it.  It is our liturgy which expresses the ideas we have about God, His presence in our world and His effect upon our witness and ministry.

The parish maintains an 'Incarnational model' of ministry and consequently has important links with the community.  Our heritage and open days, together with our 'bring a friend Sundays', are an opportunity for relatives and friends to come and experience our worship and fellowship.  Mass, as the 'incarnational' sacrament, so to speak, forms the central part of our worship, with a Solemn Mass on a Sunday and Masses during the week.
